Why stem cell marketing is different
In most medical specialties, patients already know they need the procedure. They search, they compare doctors, they book. Stem cell therapy does not work that way.
A patient with chronic knee pain is searching for "knee replacement surgeon" or "orthopedic doctor near me." They are not searching for "stem cell therapy for knee" because most of them do not know that option exists. The same applies to parents of children with autism. They are searching for speech therapists, occupational therapists and behavioral programs. They are not searching for stem cell treatment because they have never heard of it for their situation.
This changes the entire marketing approach. Search ads and SEO still matter, but the primary channel is awareness advertising. You need to reach patients who have the condition but do not yet know about stem cell therapy as a treatment. That means Facebook and Instagram campaigns that educate first and convert second.
On top of this, ad policies for regenerative medicine are still evolving. Meta does not have a clear, fixed rulebook for stem cell therapy ads the way it does for weight loss or cosmetic surgery. The policies shift, the review process is inconsistent, and what runs one month can get flagged the next. We have dealt with this directly through our work with Stay Young Clinic.
